Knox Ministry

Knox Church Morrinsville - Serving our Community

Prayer Chain

We have a group of people who pray for others and situations of need which are local, national or international. They receive the prayer list daily during the week, during each term either by phone or email.

Ways & Means

Church members set up displays in our church and foyer at relevant times during the year and refresh wall hangers in the church from time to time.

Thank You Gift

This is a group of people who take turns at providing baking which is presented to community service groups as a way of thanking them for the work and effort they put into the Morrinsville community. We also encourage the church to cover these groups with prayer.

Healing Rooms

Several members of our congregation are involved in this non-denominational mission. The group meets on Friday mornings and pray for people who require healing or blessings from God. For more information please contact the church office. Also see our Adult Ministry page.

Bible in Schools

Bible in Schools function in several schools throughout the district and we have several members active in this fantastic mission. Please inquire with our church office to speak with leaders in this ministry.

Light Party

The annual Light Party is run by all the churches coming together and pooling their resources along with donations from local businesses. The party is held in our church complex on the 31 October each year.

This event is to provide the children of Morrinsville an alternative to Halloween. Games, fancy dress, spot prizes, bouncy castles, crafts, adult café and children's café are provided for a gold coin donation and is very popular every year.

A Facebook event page is available for more information beginning 2016 and also see our Events page for more detail.

Everybody Shop

A community run opportunity shop that functions in town. We are one of the community groups who provide voluntary staff on a 6 - 8 week roster. The profit from this shop is divided between the community groups involved.

Christmas Parade

The local Morrinsville Chamber of Commerce run a Christmas parade each year, which travels up and down the main street, turning in our car park area.

We usually put a float in the religious section of the parade. The float is put together by members of our congregation with many volunteering to participate. It is a wonderful event for our kids to be part of. See photos on our Facebook page or Events page.
